Yin and Yoga Nidra Workshop w/ Misa

Start your weekend with time for gentle movement, long held stretches, supported postures and a guided meditation designed to give you space to reflect, restore and just be. Learn how to prepare the body for meditation and how to quiet the mind to become more receptive and to increase the quality of your sleep.

Yin is a physical practice of letting go of tension in the body through grounding poses that are held for longer periods of time to allow access to layers deeper than muscle such as fascia, connective tissues and joints. It is a true challenge for the mind to sit in stillness so the body can open.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice that utilizes the five energetic layers (koshas) to access the hypnagogic state, the state we're in between wakefulness and sleep. Through awareness of the physical, energetic and mental layers, we can become most receptive to intuition and learning. We do this through a body scan, a focus on breath and visualizations. Delve into 90 minutes of bliss to prepare yourself for the week ahead.

In this fall edition we will focus on rest over work as we move our energy inward and connect to the rhythm of nature - slowing down and preparing for rest. We will move our awareness inward as we experience a shift in seasons outwardly. We will explore surrendering to support and creating much needed space, in turn helping us find stillness amidst the chaos and busyness of fall. Focus will be on the upper body utilizing various arm and shoulder variations to expand and contract the body. Leave feeling restful and refreshed.

This is an adult yoga class and is for students 13 and up only.

Chakra Workshop w/ Elias

This is a four part series that will unfold over the course of 2025. In this workshop, we will review basic understandings of the chakra system and we will specifically focus on the sacral and throat chakras. We have been exploring chakra pairs this year, and no experience or prior knowledge on the topic is necessary to attend. We start class with introductions and an opportunity to share about our curiosity. The throat chakra is related to communication and expression. The sacral chakra is connected to fluidity, change, and playfulness. Together, we discuss what we notice about our own lives in relationship to these concepts. A few practices will be offered to work with each chakra. The class will involve both sitting during discussion and some time for facilitated movement. People are encouraged to make themselves comfortable throughout the offering and breaks are offered as needed. If you have any questions or would like to reach out to the instructor, please feel free to send a message and we will connect you. This offering is queer led, trauma informed, and a safe space. Feel free to bring a journal and something to write with.
